I remember Thelma from seeing her a couple of times when I was a child. I visited the log house in Portage Des Sioux, Missouri, with my father, George Stephen Gust. Aunt Johnnie (Clara Connoyer), was my fathers' Aunt, and Aunt Johniie was my Great Aunt. John Baptiste Connoyer was Aunt Johnnie's husband, and Trig Connoyer, (Your Dad), was John Connoyer's brother. I couldn't have been more than 7 or 8 years old at the time of visitation.

Throughout visitation, I distinctly remember Thelma; how very neat, precise, pretty, refined, feminine and gracious she was! Thelma was the perfect Host while Trig (with his coal black hair), and my Golden Gloves Boxer father sat around shooting the bull. I remember that Trig was quite a bit older than Thelma, but one would never know it because they were both very active and very much on the ball all of the time. Thelma was very ladylike and created an ideal picturesque and loving background as Trig's wife.

Thelma, like my husband, Howard, are legendary people; living a lifetime of social, culture, educational, environmental, economic and financial changes.
Thelma and Howard were/are dominant in a world that was much easier and simpler than this world of today, adapting nontheless to whatever trials and tribulations confront/confronted them with grit and tenacity.

I will remember Thelma as being a great example of what a wife is supposed to be; Of what womanhood is, and upon how very precious it has been to have known a lady of such great character as that of Thelma.

Thelma serves as a benchmark for all that is delicate, dainty, exquisite and fastidious, unlike many of the women today with their cursing and cigarettes dangling out of their mouth.

From a little girl's perspective and also and adult perspective,
Thelma will be remembered and viewed as a "Very Pretty and Kind Lady."

Uncle Howard cannot hear anymore, has no gums in which to hold false teeth, can't hardly walk, and therefore decided to remain home on this date.
Please acknowledge his sincere and heartfelt feeling of sympathy. Like many people, Uncle Howard thought a lot of Thelma!

Flowers were ordered to the effect that same could be taken home after the religious service.

Joan and Pam and families That is such a beautiful picture of your Mom. She always was pretty lady.. Please accept our sympathy. We will be unable to attend the wake I have a Dr. appt that day. She will always be Lady Bug to me. Have had some good times with her. Love Cathy and Toby Gnade

Rhonda, thinking of you and your family. Now your grandma is at peace in heaven but always with you in spirit. I really believe it. I'm sure she gave Paige a big hug and kiss for you.

We were such little brats! I hope she forgave us!
