Our thoughts and prayers are with your family at this time. I have many wonderful memories of time spent with your famly, the McGraw Hill folks and church friends when we lived in St Louis. Every visit to your home was a party - we always were welcomed warmly and lovingly and enjoyed many meals filled with laughter and stories. Your Dad was a very special person who will be missed by all of us.

I will miss Dick so much. He and Barbara welcomed our familiy into their home so many years ago. I have so many fond memories of the BBB. Thank you for sharing your family. My wish is that Dick and Barbara are now enjoying forever love. My thoughts and prayers to this wonderful family.

I did not know him except by his offspring. But, I know his daughter Robin extremely well. He must have been a wonderful Dad to create the kind, loving and gentle person that she is. If we are known by our fruits, he was very special. My sincere sympathy to his entire family. Lola

(3) Dick and I listening to Rush Limbaugh religiously everyday. (4) He was one of the first people to call me after he heard of the passing of my 2 sons back in 2003.
I will never forget you Dick. You made the world a better place by your presence on it and I Thank You.
Now, as you have gone home to be with the Lord, I know you are playing with my 2 sons. I can't wait to see you all again. Then, we will never lose again!

I only worked with him for a brief period of time at the St. Peters AAA office, but, Dick made made me feel welcome to the office right off the bat by presenting me with one of his famous "Buchanan's Bed, Booze, & Breakfast" glasses. I only met Dick 3 or 4 times over the past 28 years, most recently at the Buchanan Family Reunion. He always made me feel part of the family as if I had known him for years. My thoughts and prayers are with Dick's family at this time. I worked with Dick at AAA St. Peters (I worked in Insurance) for several years. He always had a smile and a kind word for co-workers and clients alike. We would often talk about baseball (Cardinals, of course) and his little dog !! Will always have fond memories...
