We send our sympathy to all of you. It seems only yesterday you lived in Ithaca but time flys by fast. I know you will all miss Mike, but we have to beleive he is in a better place where there is nothing but peace. Mike uwas 11 months older than John. Take care and God Bless You All. Joan

I worked for and with Marvin from 1989 until 1992 at the International Center in Cape Girardeau. I got to know him as a man who was passionate about international studies and travel, and the need for cross-cultural exchange. We met in Holland in 1992 when he had just established CENET, but our ways parted shortly after that.

I have fond memories of my time in Cape (where I met my wife), and Marvin was one of the people who always supported me and made me feel welcome. My thoughts are with his family.

Men with the warmth, vision and perseverance to fulfill it like Marvin are rare and hard to come by. Marvin will be sorely missed, but not in grief, but in joy of having the distinct pleasure to have been able to work him and see his vision live on.

We will never forget you and will always carry you in our hearts.

As a former Magellan Exchange Coordinator I got to know Marvin as a lovable, understanding and persistent promotor of international exchange. I will miss Marvin's friendship dearly.

This is a sad, sad day for all of us who knew Marvin, worked with him, laughed with him, enjoyed his friendship and admired him for the work he did to further the good cause of international cooperation. He was a true visionary, realising that the only road towards peace among people is paved with cooperation. I learned so much from him and I will never forget him.
May he rest in peace and may his children and grandchildren find all the strength they need.
