Joseph Kyonka, of St. Peters, Missouri, died on Sunday, September 2, 2012 at the age of 89. Loving husband of the late Evelyn Kyonka for 50 years; dear son of the late Karel and Josephine Kyonka; devoted father of Curt (Jami) Kyonka and Carl (Lucy) Kyonka; cherished grandfather of Elizabeth, Nicholas, Spencer, Josiah, Christopher, Jacob, Jonathan, and Cara; and great-grandfather of Liam. He is preceded in death by his siblings Frances, Ester, and Charles.

Joseph proudly served his country during World War II. He was a member of the University of Illinois Marching Band, charter member of the American Ceramic Society, and a member of the American Czech Society. He was deeply loved and will be missed by all who knew him.
