Henke, John L., of St. Charles, Missouri, died on Sunday, July 1, 2012 at the age of 65. Loving husband of Donna Rae Henke NEE: Hopper; beloved son of the late August (the late Frances) Henke and the late Dorothy Henke; devoted father of John "David" Henke and Nicholas Arthur Henke; dear brother of Carl (Judy) Henke, Jean Henke, Carol (Paul) Craig, James (Darlene) Henke, Elizabeth Campbell, and Ashley (Mike) Toalson; dear brother-in-law of Cal (Merry) Hopper; loving Godfather of Meredith Murphy. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
John was a Past President and board member of the Greater St. Louis Business Aircraft Association. Active member of the Quiet Birdman, Missouri Pilots Association, Greater St. Louis Flight Instructions Association, FAAST Team Representative, DA-20 Pilot Proficiency Examiner, the CAF Missouri Wing and the American Legion of Chesterfield.
