Alsup, David L., of St. Charles, Missouri, died on Sunday, January 13, 2013 at the age of 65. Beloved son of the late Harold L. Alsup and Thelma Marie Evans; devoted father of Jeffrey (Betsy) Alsup, Ryan (Kathleen) Alsup, and Julia Alsup; treasured grandfather of Frankie Alsup; former spouses Lynda Alsup and Mary Alsup- Niedergerke; dear brother of Glenn Alsup and Bobby Alsup; significant other Debbie Schafer. Dave graduated in 1965 from Hazelwood High School. While attending South East Missouri State University he was asked to tryout as a pitcher for the Minnesota Twins. Dave was a previous Vice President of Community Federal Savings and Loans, Co-Owned the Curtis Mathes franchise in St. Louis, and Retired as an Independent Owner Operator for Sara Lee. He was an avid Cardinal fan. Dave was a true sports enthusiast and enjoyed playing all sports. He will be remembered for his sense of humor and caring ways. Memorials may be made to Mercy Care or Community Living for the Handicapped.
