Janet and Bob, I wanted to tell you how very sorry I am to hear this news. Sam was one of my favorite customers to see at Commerce. :) He always smiled such a big sweet smile! And I was so happy to hear about his garden and cooking that he got to do. And being able to enjoy life. I want you to know that I am thinking about you and understand how it is to loose a Father. My great grandpa was more than I could have ever hoped for. He would make jokes that could be funny days after they were told. He could grow the best vegetables around and would love to share them with everyone so they could enjoy them as well. He would watch baseball games with such emotion he would even yell at the players and tell them what to do. He would let me run in the sprinklers and hose water until

My great grandpa was more than I could have ever hoped for. He would make jokes that could be funny days after they were told. He could grow the best vegetables around and would love to share them with everyone so they could enjoy them as well. He would watch baseball games with such emotion he would even yell at the players and tell them what to do. He would let me run in the sprinklers and hose water until I was soaked to the bone. He would ask people how their day was and enjoy listening to what was going on in their lives. He would play guitar like a country star on his recliner. He would make the best spaghetti you could ever eat and make sure you were stuffed before he put it away. He would put on old cowboy reruns and talk about the episodes with great fondness.
I can list wonderful things about my great grandpa forever, but only one really stands out the most. His love for me, and the rest of his family. For that I am thankful. I am also thankful that he gets to live with God in his kingdom where he can grow the biggest tomatoes anyone can imagine. I love you Grandpa and I can't wait to see you again!

Sam will missed by all. His smile would light up any room. Sam and Lela are now filling the heavens with her laugh and his smile. Love to all the family.

We will miss your smiling face here on earth but we know Mama is smiling tohave you home with her. We enjoyed your visits with Bob and Janet. It is sad to lose another member of the greatest generation, we appreciate your service to our country in World War II. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family.
