Memories & Candles
Our hearts and prayers go out to the Steiniger and Presson families. Uncle John touched so many lives with his kind and generous heart. He will be greatly missed. He is everyone’s favorite uncle, mentor, friend and confidant. When I came into this family by ways of marriage, Uncle John was the first to greet me with a welcome to the family. He had always the kindest words, best laugh along with a great bear hug. He was my husband’s best friend and my children’s adopted grandfather. We miss you and love you.

Dear Theresa,
All those years of fun and laughs at the Steiniger household throughout our High School years has been followed with amazing and wonderful stories of you and your big brother, Jack. I feel as if I know him better than I actually did. What a great guy, son, brother, husband, and father he truly was. God's rest has come to him and the peace of Christ with it. May that special joy he brought to your life give you the joy of what he has meant to you and always will. God bless. Many thoughts, prayers and love.

I don't know if this is the Theresa Steiniger that I knew 47 years ago. we lived at Mrs. Atkins house in Cape Girardeau. . We had many fun times together and you were in my wedding in 1965 if this is you. I am sorry for your loss of your brother. Will remember all of you in my prayers. Would love to hear from you if this is you, Theresa.

John was married to my mother "70-76".John was a great guy who helped me 1000 times when i was a teenager. he had reason after reason to give up on me yet he didn't. He never made my brothers and I feel like "stepchildren" He was a class act and my younger years would have been so very difficult had it not for John. So john Thank You again one last time. RIP.

John was my dad's supervisor in the early days at Conductron. As a new hire they had a small reception at Three Flags Center off of 5th street for him to welcome him to the company. I remember John sitting me on his knee and talking to me. My dad never forgot that warm welcome he received from John and always spoke highly of him until he passed away in 1999. Maybe John and my father are up in heaven talking old times ! My prayers are with you all. God Bless and take care.
